Mayzel (Meisel), Nahman

   Polish Yiddish writer. From 1921 he edited Yiddish periodicals in Warsaw. He emigrated to New York in 1937 and became the central figure of the Yiddish culture society Yiddisher Kultur Farband, and editor of its monthly journal, Yiddisher kultur. He wrote studies of Jewish life in Poland and Russia. In 1964 he settled in Israel.
